All I need is 1 word!

If you’ve ever looked at your spiritual goals and felt overwhelmed — wondering how to become a better Muslim, how to fix your salah, or how to stay consistent — this post is for you.
Because sometimes, all you need is one small step at a time.

· Islam teaches us that consistency matters more than quantity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if they are few.” (Bukhari & Muslim). This means that even the smallest good deed done regularly holds great weight with Allah.

· You don’t need to change overnight. What pleases Allah is the sincerity of your effort, not the size of your accomplishments. Allah says: “And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways.” (Surah Al-Ankabut, 29:69). Each sincere effort, even a tiny one, brings you closer to Him.

· When you start small — a daily dhikr, one page of Qur’an, or one act of kindness — Allah puts barakah in your efforts. Every small action done for His sake grows into something greater than you can imagine.

· Shaytan often discourages you by making you feel your progress is insignificant. But remember, every step counts. Every time you fight your laziness to pray, every time you choose forgiveness over anger — it’s recorded by Allah. He sees it all.

· The journey of faith is not a race. Everyone moves at their own pace. What matters is that you keep moving — that you don’t give up, no matter how many times you fall. Allah loves those who return to Him again and again.

· Allah’s mercy is far greater than your mistakes. So when you fall, rise again. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who repent often.” (Tirmidhi). Repentance is a step forward, not backward.

· Life is not about reaching perfection; it’s about continuous improvement. Every small step you take toward Allah, He takes many steps toward you. In a Hadith Qudsi, Allah says: “Whoever draws near to Me a hand’s span, I draw near to him an arm’s length.” (Bukhari & Muslim).

· So, take your journey one step at a time — with sincerity, patience, and trust in Allah. Because those small steps done for His sake will one day lead you to Jannah, insha’Allah.
